This beaded bracelet is created entirely by women in the community of Enosaeen in Transmara, Kenya. These Masaai grandmothers and mothers are making these bracelets with the hope of sending their at risk girls to school. In Kenya, the government does not pay for education for girls past middle school, so families have to provide the funds to keep their girls in school. 100% of the price of these bracelets will go back to the village.
These bracelets are able to be stretched, worn in water, and are a unique, one of a kind piece.
